The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, PhD, was present at the Osogbo Central Mosque today for the Juma’at prayer.
The Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheikh Musa Animasahun, offered special prayers for Dr. Basiru and the entire Basiru family following the demise of their matriarch, Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru.
During the sermon, the Chief Imam used the gathering to pray for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, and asked Allah to grant the family fortitude to bear the loss.
He also prayed for a successful final Fidau prayer and reception scheduled for tomorrow, asking Allah to accept the prayers, bless the proceedings, and bring comfort to the family.
Senator Basiru was joined by family members, well-wishers, and party members who came to commiserate with him and to observe the Juma’at prayer together.
The final Fidau prayer and reception for the late Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru will be held tomorrow in Osogbo.
