Collect Your PVC Now To Secure Your Vote: Prince Bola Oyebowale Calls On Osun Residents Ahead of August 15 Governorship Election

The Executive Board Member of the Osun Internal Revenue Service (OIRS), Prince Bola Oyebowale, FCA, ACTI, MMP, has called on all eligible voters across Osun State who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to take advantage of the ongoing distribution exercise and obtain their cards at their respective registration wards.

Prince Oyebowale made the appeal on Wednesday, stressing that the Permanent Voter Card remains the only valid instrument that empowers citizens to participate in the democratic process by casting their votes during the forthcoming August 15 Governorship Election in Osun State, as well as subsequent elections, including the 2027 General Elections.

According to him, voting is not only a constitutional right but also a civic responsibility that enables citizens to determine the future of their state and country through peaceful and democratic means.

He urged residents not to wait until the last minute before collecting their PVCs, emphasizing that every eligible voter should seize the opportunity to ensure they are fully prepared to participate in the electoral process.

Prince Oyebowale further encouraged the people of Osun State to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and committed to conducting themselves responsibly before, during, and after the election. He noted that a credible election depends on the active participation of informed and responsible citizens.

He also appealed to community leaders, youth groups, religious organizations, civil society groups, and other stakeholders to mobilize eligible voters within their communities to collect their PVCs and participate actively in the electoral process.

"The future of Osun State lies in the hands of its people. Every eligible voter should ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Card and make their vote count. Your PVC is your voice, your power, and your contribution to strengthening our democracy," Prince Oyebowale stated.

He reaffirmed his confidence in the electoral process and expressed optimism that the people of Osun State would once again demonstrate their commitment to democracy by turning out peacefully and massively to exercise their civic rights on election day.
