A lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka in Anambra State has been arrested by the police following allegations that he attempted to have sxxual relations with a female student inside a laboratory.
The incident, which was captured on video and has since circulated on social media, attracted a large crowd of students who gathered to witness the lecturer’s arrest.
According to students, the biology lecturer had allegedly been persistently demanding sxx from the female student. In response, the student, with the support of others, reportedly devised a plan to expose him.
It was gathered that the student entered the laboratory as arranged and later raised an alarm after the lecturer allegedly removed his clothes.
Videos from the scene show the lecturer dressed only in his underwear while the laboratory door was locked from the inside as students attempted to gain access.
One of the students eventually forced the door open, prompting the lecturer to flee from the laboratory. He reportedly escaped through a window before leaving the scene.
