Hundreds of residents of Ayiwola community in Kuta, Osun State, have benefited from a comprehensive humanitarian outreach organised by the Yeyelowu Fatima Oyelude Foundation, aimed at improving healthcare, education and economic empowerment.
The outreach, held at the Olowu of Kuta Palace, attracted community members, traditional leaders, beneficiaries and volunteers, who gathered to witness the foundation's wide-ranging welfare interventions designed to improve the living conditions of vulnerable residents.
As part of the initiative, elderly residents received free medical consultations, essential medications and nutritional supplements for the management of health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, stroke, cataracts and glaucoma. Beneficiaries were also provided with free prescription eyeglasses to improve their vision and overall quality of life.
In the education sector, the foundation distributed school sandals to pupils across Ayiwola to support their learning and ease the financial burden on parents.
The outreach also featured the distribution of food items to elderly members of the community, providing relief to vulnerable households affected by economic hardship. Children were equally treated to special gifts, bringing excitement and joy to the event.
To promote economic growth at the grassroots, the foundation presented cash grants to selected small-scale business owners. The initiative is expected to strengthen existing businesses, encourage entrepreneurship and improve livelihoods within the community.
Speaking during the programme, beneficiaries and community leaders praised the Yeyelowu Fatima Oyelude Foundation for its sustained commitment to humanitarian service, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.
They noted that the foundation's people-centred programmes have continued to provide meaningful support for the less privileged while contributing to healthier, better-educated and economically empowered communities.
Residents expressed appreciation to the foundation for its generosity and appealed for the continuation of such interventions, saying the outreach had brought renewed hope and practical support to many families in Ayiwola.
