What began as a political disagreement later evolved into a debate about music achievements, influence, and personal accomplishments.
The disagreement followed an announcement by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga that President Bola Tinubu had instructed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to withdraw the court order freezing the Osun State Government's accounts after speaking with Governor Ademola Adeleke. Davido, whose uncle is contesting the Osun governorship election under the Accord Party, celebrated the decision and stated that he witnessed the development firsthand. Ahmad responded by saying he had saved Davido's post and would return to it after the election if events unfolded differently.
The conversation became more heated after Davido suggested that election results could be manipulated and ridiculed Ahmad over his performance in a previous party primary. The singer then attacked Ahmad personally, declaring, "You’re a small boy who came into politics by accident." Davido also accused him of spending eight years in government without making a meaningful impact in his community and insisted he would continue inspiring young people through his music.
The exchange escalated further when Ahmad shared an AI-generated image depicting Davido holding a Grammy Award before posting a genuine photograph of Tyla with her Grammy to continue the mockery.
