PBAT Door-to-Door Movement Takes Off in Osun, Inaugurates Executives, Distributes Campaign Vehicles

...Ajibola Basiru, AMBO, Deputy Governor Adewusi Lead APC Leaders at Inauguration as Party Intensifies Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stepped up its grassroots mobilisation drive with the official launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, the inauguration of its state executives and the distribution of campaign vehicles and mobilisation materials.

The event, held at Freedom Park, Osogbo, attracted prominent APC leaders, political stakeholders, party faithful and supporters from across the state, underscoring the party's determination to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Among the dignitaries at the occasion were the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru; Osun State Deputy Governor, Adewusi; and the party's governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.

The gathering provided an opportunity for the party to consolidate its mobilisation structures and establish a more coordinated grassroots network to promote the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A major highlight of the programme was the inauguration of executives of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Osun State, marking a significant step towards institutionalising the movement's activities across the state's local government areas, wards and communities.

The newly inaugurated executives are expected to coordinate mobilisation activities, strengthen community engagement and take the policies, programmes and achievements of the Tinubu administration directly to residents.
The door-to-door initiative is designed to deepen political interaction with households and various segments of society, including community leaders, traders, artisans, youths, women and other grassroots stakeholders.
Through direct engagement, the movement seeks to expand the party's reach and encourage greater participation in its political activities.
Campaign Vehicles, Mobilisation Materials Distributed
Another major feature of the inauguration was the distribution of campaign vehicles and other mobilisation materials to support the movement's operations across Osun State.
The vehicles, branded with APC and PBAT campaign insignia, are expected to facilitate outreach activities, community engagement and political awareness campaigns across the state.
The provision of these resources is aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of movement coordinators and field operatives, enabling them to extend their activities beyond major urban centres to rural communities and other grassroots locations.
The initiative also reflects the importance attached to sustained political communication and effective grassroots organisation as the 2027 electoral cycle approaches.

The participation of Senator Ajibola Basiru, Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi and APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebsmiji AMBO, further highlighted the political significance of the initiative.

Their presence underscored the involvement of key party stakeholders in building a coordinated mobilisation structure capable of advancing the APC's political objectives in Osun State.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement is expected to serve as a strategic platform for strengthening the party's relationship with residents, communicating its agenda and galvanising support for President Tinubu's second-term ambition.

In a politically competitive state such as Osun, grassroots engagement remains an important component of electoral mobilisation. Direct interaction with voters provides political parties with opportunities to communicate their positions, understand community concerns and build stronger relationships with residents.

By establishing a structured door-to-door movement, the Osun APC is seeking to complement conventional campaign activities with sustained, community-level engagement.

The inauguration of executives and distribution of operational resources represent initial steps towards building an organised mobilisation network ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ultimately, the effectiveness of the initiative will depend on the commitment of its leadership and members to maintaining consistent engagement with communities across the state.

The event at Freedom Park, Osogbo, therefore marks another phase in the Osun APC's political mobilisation efforts, with the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement positioned as a key platform in the party's grassroots strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.
