Following the resumption of students of public and private schools in the state of Osun, for the 2020/2021 academic session on Monday, the Osun Amotekun Corps under the Field Commander, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, has designated members of the corps in the State to schools in the state, in order to forestall crime that can emanate from the resumption.
Idealplusgist.com reliably gathers that most of the schools that the corps personnel were drafted to were in Osogbo, the state capital, to prevent students from different schools, who had planned to launch an attack on one another, but whose plan was thwarted the moment they sighted the personnel of Amotekun Corps in the entrance of their schools.
It would be recalled that some miscreants in school uniform, wielding weapons, carried out attack, when the schools resumed last year, during which property were damaged, which made the state of osun government to shutdown some schools, whose students were involved in the dastardly act.
Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, said the state owned security outfit was making relentless efforts to forestall any attack on schools by hoodlums.
Comrade Amitolu Shittu, who gave the assurance in a statement made available to idealplusgist.com, stressed that Osun Amotekun Corps personnel are working round the clock to tame any miscreants and hoodlums who might have been planning to use the avenue of resumption to launch attack on schools in the state.
He therefore called on parents to caution their children against any act capable of breaking law and order
