The Hunters Group of Nigeria today honoured the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps Comrade Amitolu Shittu, the award which was given to those who has contributed immensely to the group in the State after the end of their annual 3 days leadership training at Ode-Omu, State of Osun. Among the recipient of the award are Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the executive governor of the State of Osun, Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), Ataoja of Osogbo, HRM Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Abidemi Olanipekun (Larooye II) and others numerous to mention.
Comrade Amitolu Shittu was honoured with an award of excellent and an Icon of Peace in the State by the Hunters Group of Nigeria
In his words, the State Commander of the group, Mr Nureni Hammed (AK Leader), Commended the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps for his support towards the upliftment of the group in the State and for engaging the hunters as Ad-hoc personnel of Amotekun Corps, he described Comrade Amitolu Shittu as exemplary leader and Icon of Peace, he reteirated the commitment of the group to work with the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps Comrade Amitolu Shittu in moving the corps forward in the State.
In his appreciation speech which was delivered by the representative of the Field Commander, Comrade Mustapha Fatima Nana, the Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps Comrade Amitolu Shittu, dedicated the award to Almighty God and the Governor of the state of Osun for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of the State.
According to him, This award is dedicated to God Almighty, However I want to specially thank Amb. Osatimehin Joshua and other National leaders of the Hunter group of Nigeria that deem it fit of bestow on me this award."
"I will recall that prior to my appointment as the pioneer Director General of Osun Amotekun Corps, I was instrument to the general public, presentation of hunters group of Nigeria on 26th of November, 2019 exactly a year ago".
"The presentation of hunters group of Nigeria was a grand breaking in the history of security in Nigeria".
"Immediately my appointment was announced, I did not waste time to make use of hunters group of Nigeria to serve in Ad-hoc capacity of Amotekun in the State. The interesting part of this is that I give Glory to Almighty God for using me to promote and uplift hunters group of Nigeria to an enviable position in the State as a reliable and trusted security organization in our state".
"Kudos to the likes of Comrade Nureni Hammed, the State Commander, Comrade Adeleke Oluwatoyin, State Admin. Sec, Commander of Commanders, my own Agbomojo from Ijesha land and all other numerous, I will forever be grateful to God for their support".
"I thank all Iyamode in the state and our respected oluode's, I also thank Governor Gboyega Oyetola for giving me the opportunity to serve the people of the State".
