Sikiru Aderenle-Ayedun, a Prince and Political Colossus in Ifeland honoured among others by International body for his Selfless Service to Humanity.
All roads lead to Leisure Spring Hotel, Osogbo in Osun State; the venue of the investiture of the 6th President of the International Humanitarian Club, Rotary Club of GRA Osogbo. The 6th President of the Club, Rotarian Beatrice Adenigba along the with other Directors of the Club was sworn-in as Executive members of the Club on the Saturday, 21th November, 2020. It was a glorious day.
More glorious was when the prince, philanthropist and political colossus from Ifeland, Omo-Oba Sikiru Adetona Aderenle-Ayedun was honour with the Award of Excellence for Humanitarian Service. All guests and Club members rose to the occasions when he was called to receive the award from the Club. His profile speaks for him and people present were not disappointed. Part of the profile read “OmoOba Adetona career and business sojourn span through politics and logistics services. His political career shows that he was once a Student Representative Council member in OAU, an Information Officer to the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly; Hon. ‘Wale Afolabi, in the Second Republic, when Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke was the Governor of the State. At the premature end of the republic by the military junta, he proceeded to Lagosto start his business sojourn when he joined Messrs. JOEKOL Services Ltd and SAPID Holdings Limited, both are Licensed Logistics Conglomerate Company, and rose to become the Managing Director; managing and developing a wide range of diverse and complex logistics transport service businesses. He later registered his own Company, LIMPID Investments Limited, also a Licensed Logistics company through which he was able to invest in real estate and contribute directly in humanitarian services both to the indigene and non-indigene of Ile-Ife, home and diaspora”.
He is an accomplished gentleman. OmoOba Adetona is fondly called Skay. He is known for integrity, ardent to Ife causes; he was nicknamed by his cabinet colleagues as “Commissioner for Ife” because of his repeated request for one thing or the other that will benefit Ile-Ife. Skay is always at home with people of diverse religions, wherewithal and political leanings, and palaces of all towns within and outside Yorubaland.
He is a rising star that has been rising across religion (especially Islam), education, commerce and business, and most especially politics in which he is making remarkable achievements. A well-deserved award for him and will believe more will come.
