The Osun State ministry of Political Affairs and Inter governmental relations under the Honourable Commissioner For Political Affairs and Inter governmental relations, Hon Taiwo Akeju, on Thursday 10th of December holds a Sendforth for the Retired Coordinating Director in the ministry, Mr. S.O. Afolabi as he bow out of the civil service.
The staff of the ministry and the family and friends of the Retired Coordinating Director are raining encomiums on him, for his performance and achievements when in the civil service.
In his words, the Commissioner For Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon Taiwo Akeju, described him as a nice man and highly experience in the civil service that will be missed by all for his commitment and dedication to the state civil service, which he has been doing before creating the state out of Oyo state.
Hon Taiwo Akeju who delivered the message of the Governor to the Retired Coordinating Director, he also made it known that Gov. Gboyega Oyetola has been doing a great job in the welfare of the workers in the state and he will not relent to be father to everyone.
He prayed that God will continue to uplift the Retired Coordinating Director to higher than the place he left.
In the staff comment, the Director of Finance in the ministry, described Mr. Afolabi as the man of the people who always want the best for the junior ones in the civil service and always encourage the staff to do better in their duties.
Mrs Olajide thank God for sparing everyone life to witness the ceremony, she described the Retired Coordinating Director as a kind man who took her as a father and who always represent the interest of staff in the ministry and he never relent to share stories about live to them so as to become a successful person in life.
Mr Wole, said that the Coordinating Director always happy with everyone and never get frank to anyone.
The Personal Assistant to the Commissioner for Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Debo Farounbi, described him as a vibrant and dedicated man who never descriminate on politics or technocrat, he urged other civil servant to emulate the retired coordinating director. He pray to God to be with him and uplift him.
The brother of the Retired coordinating director, Mr Layi, applauded the retired Coordinating Director for encouraging him to study which leads to what he become today, when the Retired Coordinating Director was a teacher at St Charles Grammar school Osogbo, he prayed for the longetivity for him.
One of his brother also, Mr. Akeem, made it known that the Retired Coordinating Director his the one that made him become a responsible man in the society, because he always wants his younger ones to study. He appreciates the staff of the ministry for their support towards his brother.
Her younger sister, Mrs Obelawo appreciates the staff of the ministry for organised this memorable ceremony for Mr. Sunday Afolabi, She described him as a mentor.
In the celebrant vote of thanks, the Retired Coordinating Director Mr Sunday Afolabi, appreciates the Commissioner Hon Taiwo Akeju, Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the entire staff of the ministry for deem it fit to organized the memorable ceremony for him, described the ceremony as first of it kind in the last five years, he thanks Governor Gboyega Oyetola for sending his remarks through commissioner to him, he promised not to relent in his efforts to uplift others.
