Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to lead discussants at a colloquium organised by the Aragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotubde Olabomi's 12th installation anniversary committee.
As contained in a release issued by Secretary of the anniversary committee, Jimoh Olorede, the Governor has consented to being the Lead Speaker at the coronation colloquium which will hold Thursday at Double Hills Hotel, Iragbiji.
According to the release, the colloquium titled "Sustainable Community and National Development: Creating a Synergy between Traditional Institutions and Government" is one of activities lined up for the 12th anniversary celebrations of Oba Olabomi.
The choice of Sanwo-Olu as Lead Speaker at the colloquium said to be a five-member academic discussion, as stated in the release, was informed by the Committee's recognition of the governor's purposeful leadership, development-inclination and patriotism as demonstrated in his selfless service and governance of his state.
Other discussants are Professors Lai Olurode of the University of Lagos, Siyan Oyeweso and Bolaji Omitola both of Osun state University, and Dr. Oyeleke Ajiboye, who is also Chairman of the Committee.
Oba Olabomi who had earlier marked his 12th installation anniversary via solemnization in May this year, when he was exactly twelve years on the saddle as the 15th crowned king of the ancient town, postponed the celebrations in his adherence to government's directives on Covid-19 safety precautions.
The anniversary which will now hold from December 9 to 12, is packed with activities including commissioning of projects executed by the monarch, interdenominational prayers, royal walk, conferment of chieftaincy titles on deserved prominent indigenes and football competition.
The grand finale that will climax the celebrations will hold on Saturday at Pathfinder College of Health Technology, Iragbiji, where governor Oyetola of Osun state will be the Chief Host.
