The field commander of Osun Western Security Network coded as "Amotekun Corps" Comrade Amitolu Shittu as disclose that Osun Amotekun Corps will not expose the identity of anyone that give the Corps criminals hideout, he made this disclosure today when featuring on a weekly program on Osbc Radio 104.5 'OSELU WAA', he alleged the residents of thrashing criminals and not expose them untime before striking, he described it has uncalled for.
He urged the residents of the state not to hide or protect criminals in their communities, they should expose the criminals and the identity of the informant will be protected.
Amitolu Shittu who also speaks on the mugging skirmish that happened at two banks at Iree last week Thursday, which resulted in the rapt of one constabulary of police, he applauded all security agents that partook in the operation, he also lauded the commitment and efforts of Osun Amotekun Personnel for chasing the armed robbers to the level they dropped their four vehicles they used for the operation and ran to the bush where Amotekun Personnel was in the bush searching to apprehend the robbers till the mid-night.
According to him, " the residents should stop be a spy to criminals because one things that is affecting us now in terms of security is caused by the residents because they are protecting the criminals and what they should do is to expose them before they strike. We experienced one last week when one motorcycle passed one way and we discovered that how can someone passed one way with speed without having skeleton in his cupboard, we followed him to his destination, after gotten there we asked for owner of the motorcycle but to our shocked no one responded, we took the motorcycle and as we are coming one elderly woman hint us and give us where the motorcycle owner and his cohort hush up we apprehended them and handover them to DSS for further investigation and prosecution. And the same thing happened when arrested a man stolen a car from Lagos State and brought it to Osogbo and we apprehended him at Oke-Ayepe Osogbo where he parked the car and other operations excessively plentiful to allusion but a few. Amotekun is different from some security outfit that will expose the identity of those who allot them information."
The field commander also reiterated the obligation and fanaticism of Amotekun Corps in the State to apprehends criminals. He urged residents to contact toll free number on 293 when having any information on security and if they have complaint they can visit Amotekun Corps office at Government House Annexe, Oke-fia, Osogbo or Headquarter office at Gbongan Roundabout when having a vital information to disclose.
