Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode ably represented by the O.C Anti-Cultism, CSP Oluwaseyi Gabriel delivered a lecture on the topic Effective Community Policing and the Way Forward and Osun State Director of Directorate of State Security ably represented by Mr Gimba, who delivered a lecture on The Role of Intelligent in Security
The security duo was welcome to the training camp by the Chairman of Amotekun Corps in Osun State, Brid. Gen. Isah Aderibigbe, Corps Commander, Brid Gen. Bashir Adewinbi, Field Commander, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, Camp Commandant, Captain Fatia Ajibolu, Alhaji Bayo Oyekanmi, Hon Adebowale Board Members and Instructors.
CSP Oluwaseyi Gabriel congratulate the newly recruited 360 Amotekun intake for the opportunity to scape through to the training camp, he urged them to be disciplined and concentrate on the training.
He described community policing as a collaboration between the security agencies and the community in order to proffer solution to the security challenge facing the community.
He urges Amotekun Intake after been posted to their various local governments to identify problem of security challenges facing in their community or local government of engagement and collaborate with other sisters security and proffer solution to safe lives and property.
"The Nitty Gritty of Community Policing comprises a security dialogue with Royal Father's, Chiefs, Pastors, Imam's, Okada Riders, Transporters, Traders and Antisans because they are closers to people than security agent" He said.
In his lecture the DSS Director Mr Gimba, described intelligent security as a tactics that superseed riffle because if someone is intelligent enough he will arrest without holding riffle.
He urged the Amotekun Corps to be intelligent and be tactical in carryout their assigned duties when been posted to their various local government after completing the 3 weeks course.
He said the reason why Amotekun was constituted by southwest governors is because of the strategic intelligent of governors in the region to have it own local security outfit that will collaborate with other federal security to safeguard the region from criminals.
The Chairman Amotekun Board Brid Gen. Isah Aderibigbe, appreciate the commissioner of police and DSS Director for deem it fit to deliver a wonderful lecture to Amotekun intake in their training Camp, he promised undiluted collaboration of Amotekun Corps intake with other sisters security after living camp.
In his remark, the corps commander, Brid Gen. Bashir Adewinbi applauds the duo security expert for delivering a wonderful lecture for the intake, he promised the corps will work hand in hand with other sisters security.
