The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Switzerland Chapter, Amb. Adebayo Alfonso has congratulated the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, and the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State, Hon. Usman Ododo on their well-deserved victory in the just concluded election in the states.
He described the resounding victory of the party in Saturday's governorship election in Imo and Kogi State as the affirmation of the confidence Nigerians have in the ability of the ruling party to extricate Nigeria from the current economic woes.

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State polled 540,308 votes to beat PDP Candidate Samuel Anyanwu who polled 71, 503 votes, and the Labour Party candidate Athan Achonu who polled 64,081 votes.
Alfonso asserted that Ododo's and Uzodinma's victory was the culmination of the successes recorded by the APC in the last eight years and the confidence reposed in the Governor and the Governor-elect.
Alfonso praised voters in Kogi and Imo State who trooped out en masse on Saturday to vote for Ododo and Uzodinma, even as acknowledged the resilience of Governor Yahya Bello and Governor Hope Uzodinma in ensuring the electoral victory of the ruling party.
He said the outcome of the elections reflects the wishes of the people, emphasizing that democracy thrives when voters reward competence, transparency, and good governance.
He assured that their administration will prioritize the needs and aspirations of the people, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed.
He applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) on the successful conclusion of Saturday's election.
