I am devastated and quite saddened as I pen this tribute for a departed friend and an exceptional comrade who paid more than a due price in the Nation Civil struggle that characterized a dark turbulent phase of our nationhood at a point in time when even the seeming valiants either betrayed the struggles or chickened out.
*Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu,* you stood out among the patriots who stood firmly for the Nation causes during your lifetime; you were a loud voice at Nigerian Bar: rose to the Zenith therein as a Senior Advocate and a National President of NBA; I can as well confidently state that you did your best as the Governor of Ondo State.
I condole with *Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu,* the widow, the children of the deceased, the good people of Ondo State, the Nigeria Governors' Forum especially the Southwest wing where *Arakunrin Akeredolu* held sway as the Chairman in his lifetime, the APC Family and the whole Nigerians over the loss of this giant who came, saw, and conquered.
May Almighty God grant his soul mercies.
