The sensitization team of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has tasked the members and leaders of the party in Odo-Otin, Ifelodun and Boripe Local Government Council Areas of the state to sink their differences and operate as a team towards the constitutional recovery of the state from the reactionary party in 2026.
The state chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, who on Tuesday led the formidable sensitization team comprising the state Secretary of the party, Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru; the state Treasurer, Hon Femi Kujembola and other state officers of the party, reminded the stakeholders of the APC in the three local governments not to compromise the electoral victory of the party in all the future elections.
The state APC chairman enjoined them to forget about what might have divided them in the past and embrace unity, co-operation and peace in the interest of the party and overall development of the state.
He tasked the elders in the party to brace up and find a way of ending any schism between them and all other stakeholders of the party like the youth wings, women wings, supporters and sympathizers of the APC.
He reminded the hosts that the APC is still loved by the people of the state, telling them to leverage on that in order to ensure the victory of the party in all the future elections in the state.
Lawal stated further that the task to recover the state from those currently occupying the political leadership in the state is a collective constitutional effort which must be taken with all seriousness by all and sundry.
In his words: “Let’s come together and forget our differences and recover our stolen mandate from the reactionary group of politicians in our state.
“Our job of recovering the state from the political vampires who seized the control of the state by the jugular through deceit and rigging during the last series of elections is simple as the governed have seen that they have nothing tangible to offer them.
“At the same time, politics is a game of numbers which necessitates the need for us to identify some of the former disenchanted members of the party who are genuinely repentant and bring them back into the fold through the formal means at the ward level”, Lawal stated.
Earlier, some of the leaders of the APC in Okuku, Ikirun and Iragbiji had briefed the visiting team on the state of the party in their various local government council areas with emphasis on their challenges which the state chairman promised to address.
