Akol Extols Mother of the Nation, Oluremi Tinubu,CON at 64

  

Prof. Siji Olamiju, popularly known as Akol, has joined millions of well-wishers to celebrate the First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu's 64th birthday. In a statement released in Osogbo, Osun State, Akol described the First Lady as a conspicuous Pillar of democracy and a woman of robust history in terms of good governance.

Akol commended Oluremi Tinubu's initiatives during her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State, particularly the quiz competition that awarded winners with a scholarship and the opportunity to become a One-day governor. This program has inspired many students and raised hopes for quality education.

Akol shared his personal encounter with Oluremi Tinubu, highlighting her super accommodating nature and humility as an exemplary model of emulation for public servants, both the government and corporate sectors. He recalled meeting her, for the first time ever in October 2018, during his screening into House of Representatives  and Her Excellency Sen. Oluremi Tinubu was equally to be screened into the Senate for her second time in the Red Chamber  where she approached ( in company of Sen.Yayi and Hon Faleke) and joked with and encouraged him, leaving a lasting humourous impression till date 

Oluremi Tinubu's contributions to the nation and support for her husband ,President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda are unparalleled. Akol described her as a tireless worker for Nigeria's growth and development, with  legacies written in gold. During her service in the National Assembly as a Distinguished Senator in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, she has left an indelible print in the history of the National Assembly.

At 64, Oluremi Tinubu remains energetic and dedicated, setting an example for younger generations to draw from her well of knowledge and experience. Olamiju wished her many more glorious years of service to the nation.
