Osun State Loses A Icon. Oba (Dr) Aromolaran, Says DCOS


The former Chief of Staff to Governor Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, Hon. (Prince)Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo (DCOS) has expressed his condolences to the people of Ijesa and Osun State over the passing of Owa Ilesa and paramount ruler of Ijesa land, Oba Dr. Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran (OFR).

In a statement released to the press, in Odo-Otin Osun State Hon (prince) Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo described Oba Aromolaran's demise as a great loss to the people of Osun, particularly at a time when his presence was most needed. He praised the late monarch as a renowned writer, publisher, and educationist who made significant impacts on many generations through his books and lectures.

Hon (Prince) Abdullah Adeyanju Binuyo highlighted Oba Aromolaran's contributions to education, including his role in inspiring students who wrote WAEC exams in the 1980s with his published works. He also noted the monarch's dedication to development, which led to the establishment of a state university in Ilesa during Oyetola's administration, creating employment opportunities for the people of Ijesa and Osun.

Hon (Prince)Binuyo urged the Osun State government to immortalize Oba Aromolaran's legacy and prayed for the peaceful rest of his soul.
