Pa Ayo Fasanmi's Family Congratulates Oyetola at 70.

The family of the late Pa Ayo Fasanmi has joined numerous well-wishers to warmly congratulate the former Governor of Osun State and current Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, celebrated on September 29, 2024.


In a statement issued by Dr. Mrs. Olufunmilayo Fasehun (née Fasanmi), the eldest daughter of the late elder statesman, and made available to the press by Hon. Temitope Adebayo, the former Personal Assistant to her father, the family expressed their heartfelt wishes for the Hon. Minister’s continued success in serving the nation.


"We congratulate the Honourable Minister on his 70th birthday and pray for his continued success in the service of our beloved country," the statement read.


The Fasanmi family also reflected on the long-standing relationship between Oyetola and their late father, Senator Ayo Fasanmi, recalling the unwavering support Oyetola provided to the elder statesman, who served as a two-term senator and one of the founding fathers of progressive politics in Nigeria.


"Papa’s family fondly remembers the unwavering support the Honourable Minister accorded our beloved father," the family noted, paying tribute to Oyetola's dedication to Nigeria's development.


The family concluded by praying, "May Allah grant the Hon. Minister good health and long productive years in his service to humanity and Nigeria as a whole."
