Osun APC Mourns Passing of Chief Ajadi Badmus ... Extends Condolences to His Family, Ataoja, TUNS, Osogbo Community

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed a deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Ajadi Badmus, the Asiwaju of Osogbo, a distinguished educationist and community leader.

 In a statement issued today by the party's Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, the state chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, stated that the demise  of Chief Ajadi Badmus was sudden and shocking. 

The state APC chairman consoled the Asiwaju of Osogbo, the Ataoja of Osogbo, His Royal Majesty,  Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun and Aare Tunde Badmus and  the entire Osogbo community, as well as the educational stakeholders such as the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), the Ministry of Education, and the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) over the death of one of the illustrious sons of Osogboland.

 Lawal described the deceased as a pillar of the educational sector and a prominent figure in the history of the development of Osogbo.

In the words of the APC state chairman: "The verifiable contributions of the deceased to education and his commitment to his community will be remembered  till eternity.

"Chief Ajadi Badmus who had served as a principal and held significant roles in educational administration, was widely respected for his leadership and service in Osun State's academic and community affairs.

  "His loss is felt beyond the borders of Osogbo. His death is a collective loss to educators, students, and citizens of Osun State who benefited immensely from his guidance, dedication, and progressive vision for education.

"We in the APC recognize Chief Badmus’ tireless efforts as a former leader within ANCOPSS, where he championed the cause of secondary education and ensured the improvement of learning standards across the state. 

"His leadership within the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) also left an indelible mark, as he advocated for teachers' welfare and the advancement of educational policies at both the state and national levels.

"Chief Badmus was an eminent son of Osogbo, and his contributions to his hometown were immense. 

"We extend our  condolences to His Royal Majesty, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, under whose leadership Chief Badmus contributed significantly to the peace and development of the community. 

"His loss will be deeply felt within the palace and throughout the Osogbo traditional council," Sooko Lawal stated.

The Osun APC also extended its sympathy to the Ministry of Education and other educational institutions that Chief Ajadi Badmus was affiliated with during his long career.

"His dedication to improving education in Osun State left an enduring legacy. "He was an educator of excellence, a mentor to many, and an advocate for continuous learning and development," Sooko Lawal reflected.

He prayed that Almighty God will grant the family of Chief Ajadi Badmus, his friends and other dependants the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

"May Chief Ajadi Badmus’ soul continue to rest in perfect peace", Lawal prayed.
