Be Security Conscious About Your Environment, Osun Amotekun Commander, Omoyele Urges Residents

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Hon. Omoyele Isaac Adekunle, has called on the residents of Osun State to be more vigilant and security-conscious, especially during this ember month, which is often associated with an increase in criminal activities.

Speaking during a radio program on Odua FM, Ile-Ife, the Amotekun Commander urged the public to report any suspicious or unusual activities in their surroundings to the appropriate authorities. He emphasized that the safety of the community is a collective responsibility and that the public should not hesitate to contact the Amotekun Corps or other security agencies when they observe anything out of the ordinary.

Dr. Omoyele further encouraged residents to avoid leaving everything solely in the hands of security agencies, but to play an active role by providing useful and concrete information that can help in the apprehension of criminals and the prevention of potential security threats.

"In these times, it is crucial that every resident remains vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. By doing so, we can work together to ensure the safety and security of our communities," he said. "The role of security agencies is to protect, but we also need the cooperation of the public to gather actionable intelligence that can lead to the arrest of criminals."

The Commander also highlighted that Amotekun Corps is fully committed to ensuring the safety of Osun State, and with the support and cooperation of the public, the security situation can be further strengthened. He urged the residents to take all necessary precautions and to remain alert during this period.

Dr. Omoyele reassured the people of Osun that their safety is the top priority of the Amotekun Corps, and that the force will continue to collaborate with other security agencies to maintain peace and order across the state.

After the radio program, the corps commander paid a courtesy visit to the Obalufe of Ife, HRM Oba Olaniyi Idowu Adediwura.
