AMBO Grassrooters Drums Support For NIWA BOSS, Bola Oyebamiji, Visit Egbedore LG
... inaugurate ward and unit coordinators
In continuation of their quest to mobilize support for the actualization of the governorship ambition of Osun ex-finance commissioner, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the AMBO Grassrooters, a frontline support group for MD/CEO National Inland Waterways Authority, visited Egbedore Local Government to mobilize support and inaugurate ward and unit coordinators. This effort is part of their statewide campaign to back Oyebamiji as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for the 2026 Osun State election.
The group had previously visited several local governments, including Ila, Isokan, Irewole, Ede South, Irepodun, Orolu, and Olorunda, mobilizing support for Oyebamiji.
During the visit, Hon. Ogunfolaju on behalf of the AMBO Grassrooters thanked the leaders of the party in Egbedore for the warm welcome and stated that the group's support for Oyebamiji is driven by their desire to see the APC return to government in 2026. She note that Oyebamiji is the right peg in the right hole, a financial expert astute public administrator, charismatic leader and purpose driven person.
Oyebamiji's commitment, passionate dedication, and loyalty to the party were highlighted as key reasons for the group's support. Hon. Gbolahan Ayegbayo emphasized that AMBO is a loyal party man whose actions will be guided by the party's supreme powers. He also dismissed rumors of pre-determined elective positions and appointments.
The council boss, Hon. Issa Akinwale, praised Oyebamiji for his significant support to the party in Egbedore and Osun at large, noting that Oyebamiji has proven himself to be a man of unmatched character, charisma, and competence. Prince Wole Oyebamiji commended Oyebamiji for his regular support to the party and charged for peaceful campaigns.
Alhaji Gbadebo Ajao extolled Oyebamiji's humility and ability to bring a human face to governance, affirming his competence and administrative prowess to guide Osun to the promise land. He also praised Oyebamiji for being a valuable team player to previous progressive governors in Osun, stating that his financial intelligence has contributed immensely to the economic stability of the state.
Hon. Akintola Omolaoye, APC Senatorial Chairman for Osun West, praised the team for exhibiting great patriotism and loyalty to the party, thanking them for their firm belief in the Osun West Agenda. He reiterated that the zone is ready to present the best to lead the APC back to Abeere in 2026.
Hon. Abiodun Awolola in his charge to the newly inaugurated ward and unit coordinators, tasked them to take up the role of door-to-door mobilizers for the purpose of the primaries as he is convinced that AMBO would emerge as the party's torch bearer for the August 8th guber elections.
The AMBO Grassrooters will continue their statewide mobilization effort, building on the momentum generated in Egbedore LG and other areas, with Oyebamiji's gubernatorial ambition gaining ground. It is worthy of note that the group is comprised of Local Government past and present chairmen from 2017 till date, who are committed to supporting Oyebamiji's bid for the Osun State governorship.
