Osun 2026: Alubarika Movement SRJ Mobilisers Hold Maiden Meeting in Ilesa West

In taking a major step in grassroots political mobilization in Ijesaland, the maiden meeting of the Alubarika Movement mobilisers in Ilesa West LG was held at the APC party secretariat in Ilesa today, Sunday, 22nd June 2025,  


The meeting was chaired by Hon. Folarin Fafowora, a former two-term member of the Osun State House of Assembly who represented Ilesa West state constituency. The gathering brought together dedicated party loyalists and grassroots mobilisers committed to championing the aspiration of President Bola Tinubu 2027 reelection bid and Senator Ajibola Basiru as the preferred candidate of APC in the 2026 governorship election.



The Alubarika Movement mobilisers, a vibrant support arm of Senator Ajibola Basiru Campaign Organisation (SABCO) is committed to actualising the gubernatorial ambition of the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru in the forthcoming off-cycle Osun state governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026


While addressing party faithful, Hon. Fafowora urged the mobilisers to spread the SRJ project message across every polling unit, street, ward and community in Ijesaland. According to him, "Senator Basiru stands tall among aspirants, being a seasoned politician with vast legislative and executive experience both at the state and national levels"








He described Basiru as a visionary leader with the competence and political acumen to transform governance in Osun State for the better.


The meeting ended with renewed zeal and strategic directives as all the attendees pledged their unwavering loyalty to the party, APC and SRJ as the mobilisers look ahead with confidence to the 2026 gubernatorial contest, that victory was assured for APC. 


Party chieftains who attended the meeting included Hon. Ademola Philips, Hon. Nurudeen Giwa, Hon. Rawlings, Hon. Busuyi Ajilore, Hon. Idris Olaoluwa, Hon. Tijani Alaba, Hon. Layi Fagbolade, former councillors, Hon. Saheed Keshinro, Hon. Siji Ibironke, Hon. Morufa Balogun, Hon. Bose Sarumi, and other notable leaders of the APC in Ilesa West LG.
