OSUN 2026: APC Iron Ladies Group Endorses Tinubu, Oyebamiji's candidature, declares 1million votes ...Women are indispensable political lifewire - ex-speaker, Owoeye

As part of efforts to ensure reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and actualise the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, a leading gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, a political platform - Osun APC Iron Ladies Group-- on Thursday endorsed and declared their unflinching support for the candidatures of Tinubu and Oyebamiji to become the APC flag-bearers and second term President and Governor of Osun State come 2026 respectively 

The Group declared 1million votes in support of Tinubu and Oyebamiji just as they expressed readiness to mobilize massively and campaign rigorously from door-to-door across the state towards actualizing their aspirations. 

This is just as the immediate past Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye eulogized APC women folk, describing them as political pillar, lifewire and engine room of Osun politics. 

Recall that, Oyebamiji, the incumbent Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, has been enjoying massive endorsements from different sociopolitical groups and professional bodies since his official declaration to contest next guber poll in the state . 

In her welcome remarks at the Inauguration, Launching and Award Giving Ceremony, held at Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, State Coordinator, Osun APC Iron Ladies Group, Deaconess Adesola Oluwabunmi Ayangbile, said the endorsement of Oyebamiji's candidacy was based on personal and collective conviction of every member of the group in appreciation of his outstanding feats in both private and public sectors as manifested in his immense contributions to the growth and development of Osun while serving in different capacities.

Deaconess Ayangbile also reiterated the group's solidarity, unalloyed support and endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed hope agenda, resourceful leadership and good governance in the last two years, declaring their readiness to work for his second term. 

"In the spirit of AMBO, the Lord has chosen for us a man of vision and mission whose warmth and kindness have touched many hearts. He is someone who has a remarkable ability to connect with the people and his generosity and compassion are inspiring. As a shining example of integrity, uncommon humility whose infectious enthusiasm and energy is contagious with a listening ear and his empathetic nature has made him a beloved figure with passion for justice and equity.

"As you all know, one servant can never serve two masters hence, Oyetola is our compass, AMBO is our choice, all we are saying in essence is Oyebamiji is all we want to become the party's candidate and subsequently Governor of Osun come 2026", she stated.

Ayangbile urged members of the group to remain steadfast, unperturbed and unrelenting in their collective efforts to propagate the party and ensure victory for Oyebamiji come 2026 saying, "Until victory is ours in 2026, let us march forward together. Let us be united and determined. Let's make history by leaving a legacy that will be remembered for generations to come."

In his remarks, immediate past Speaker Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, extolled women's virtues and immeasurable contributions to the success and progress of the party thus far just as he enjoined them not to relent in the collective efforts to build a virile and formidable party ever known in history of the state.

In his acceptance speech, Oyebamiji expressed profound gratitude to the Iron Ladies in their number for counting him worthy and for endorsing his candidature, describing them as indispensable companions in politics and salt in the political soup. 

Represented by his spouse, Dr. Sekinat Oyebamiji, AMBO reaffirmed his commitment to continue to accord desired courtesy to women and prioritize their welfare as pillars of politics. 

"We thank God and we are happy that AMBO has become a household name that everyone talks about in the state as manifested by your endorsement. We appreciate the fact that you count my husband worthy of this endorsement and promise not to let you down. We shall continue to be who we are and impact more in humanity", Oyebamiji added.
