Osun 2026: Ogungbangbe Charges Osun APC on Collective Victory, Bags Iron Ladies Humanitarian Award.

In a colourful and well-attended event, the IRON Ladies — a sociopolitical women’s group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State — presented an Award of Excellence in Humanitarian Service to Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe (PhD) in recognition of his support for humanitarian causes and his consistent contributions to the growth of the APC.


The event, which took place at the IleriOluwa Campaign Office in Osogbo, drew several high-profile personalities. Among them were the representative of former Osun State Commissioner for Finance, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, represented by Hajia Oyebamiji; the Owa of Igbajo, Oba Philip Adegboyega; former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye; and many other party leaders.


Prince Ogungbangbe, visibly moved by the honour, thanked the IRON Ladies for the recognition. He restated his commitment to the progress of the APC and the empowerment of women and grassroots structures. To support their work, he announced a ₦5 million donation to the group.


He further promised continued support — not just for the IRON Ladies, but for all women in Osun State — encouraging them to remain focused on mobilizing support across wards and communities as the party prepares for the 2026 Osun Governorship Election.


The victory of the APC in 2026 should be a collective responsibility,” Prince Ogungbangbe said. “Everyone must play their part to ensure the party returns to power in Osun.


In her response, the State Condinator of Iron ladies group Deaconess Adesola Oluwabunmi Ayangbile, praised Prince Ogungbangbe for his generosity and strong leadership. She assured him that the group would remain committed to grassroots mobilization, women empowerment, and promoting issue-based campaigns to help secure APC victories in the 2026 governorship and 2027 general elections.


The event highlighted the strong bond between party members and support groups, and also showcased the important role individuals like Prince Ogungbangbe play in strengthening party unity and serving the people.
