Osun Gubernatorial Election 2026: Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West Local Government Stakeholders Defies Heavy Downpour To Receive AMBO Grassrooters, Pledge Support For Oyebamiji

In a significant show of support and enthusiasms ahead of the Osun Gubernatorial Elections in 2026, leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East and Atakumosa West Local Governments today defy the heavy rains to register and pledge their support for the governorship aspiration of the MD/CEO of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

This was the message today as AMBO Grassrooters, a frontline support group promoting and propagating the aspiration of Oyebamiji comprising past and present local government council chairmen from 2017 took their sensitization and consultative tour to the local governments.

Recall that the group had in recent weeks took their message of a "BETTER AND GREATER OSUN WITH AMBO" to Isokan, Ila, Egbedore, Irepodun, Orolu, Boripe, Ede South, Ife North and Irewole with the determination to tour the 30 Local Governments of the State including the Area Office,Modakeke to sensitize and mobilize support for the two term former Commissioner for Finance in Osun while earlier this morning the group equally paid homage to Elder James Akinwumi Oni at his Ilesa residence.

Beginning the tour with a visit to Atakumosa East Local Government where the group inaugurated Ward and Unit Coordinators for the purpose of carvassing and mobilizing grassroots support across all the Wards of the Local Government.

Engr. Maaroof Ogundipe, Chairman Obokun Local Government in his opening remarks espoused positive character and outstanding credentials of Bola Oyebamij as the distinguished and the most credible aspirant while tasking the newly inaugurated Ward and Unit Coordinators to garner support  base with unwavering loyalty and vote for AMBO ahead of the APC primaries.He charged Units and Ward Coordinators to begin door-to-door  awareness, sensitization and campaigns for the emergence of Oyebamiji as the next Executive Governor of Osun State.He maintained that party members should embrace total participation in unity to accommodate diverse interests and shun campaign of calumny, hatred and other social vices that might hamper peace and unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in their respective Local Governments.

The State Coordinator of AMBO Grassrooters, Elder Deji Agboola hailed members of the APC in Atakumosa East LGA for standing firm with Oyebamiji just as he reaffirmed the former Finance Commissioner's commitment to party unity, growth and members welfare. Reeling out sterling qualities of Oyebamiji, Elder Agboola noted that AMBO is a seasoned banker, economist, welfarist and grassroot politician pointing to his unmatched achievements  and several awards during his tenure as MD/CEO Osun State Investment Company Limited (OSICOL) and two terms Commissioner for Finance where had demonstrated integrity,competence, consistency,capacity and financial expertise that played a pivotal role in stabilizing the  Osun Economy

Hon.Mrs. Funmilola Olowe, Women Leader of the APC in the Local government extolled Oyebamiji's virtues, hailing the Frontline aspirant as a pious man who holds party members in high esteem with due consideration for value addition and humanitarian gesture because Bola Oyebamiji prioritizes internal democracy ,cohesion,growth and advancement of the Party. He urged for the support of leaders and members of the party in Atakumosa East LGA with a conviction that Oyebamiji reward net would spread to the nooks and crannies of Atakumosa East and Osun at large after being sworn in as governor in November, 2026.

In Atakumosa East Local Government, the team was received with overwhelming encomiums by enthusiastic members of the Party who had thronged out in their large numbers.

Engr.Ogundipe praised members of the Party in Atakumosa East for standing firm with the Party and Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, he lauded the stakeholders and leaders of the party for providing quality and charismatic leadership which has helped to strengthen and reposition position for electoral success.He further praised members for taking ownership of the AMBO Project just. He noted that AMBO, is an embodiment of humility,native intelligence and progressive politics, revealing that Oyebamiji's financial expertise and professionalism is desirable to revamp,restore and re-install Osun State on the path of infrastructural renewal, economic rebirth, improved Internal revenue,financial stability and sustainable development.

Bola Oyebamij is widely adjudged as the best man for economic recovery considering the spate of financial maladministration, poor socio-economic reforms,fiscal & monetary policies summersaults bedeviling Osun State Economy under the present Adeleke led government.He reiterated that Oyebamiji is committed to accelerated progress and development  in our dear State.

However, Ogundipe and leading speakers remarked gave documentary evidences for pitching support Bola Oyebamij as the preferred aspirant who can stimulate and leading the All Progressives Congress to unchallengeable electoral victory, hence the need to mobilize support for Oyebamiji's gubernatorial ambition is sacred and sacrosanct.

High, Chief Disu Oyedele described AMBO as the peoples choice ahead of the next Osun governorship election, stating that the ex-finance commissioner enjoys overwhelming popularity and acceptability across the State.He urged members to unite ahead August 8th, 2026 guber polls, as unity is the pathway to electoral success for the APC.

A former member of the Osun House of Assembly and a chieftain of the APC in Atakumosa West LGA, Hon. Festus Babatunde Komolafe praised AMBO Grassrooters for taking up the tasks of advocacy,awareness ,sensitizing and enlightening party members for AMBO at the grassroots level.He charged the newly inaugurated Ward and Unit Coordinators as well as every lover of the AMBO Project must begin grassroots mobilization and support of Oyebamiji  while tasking them to begin house-to-house as well as door-to-door campaigns for AMBO ahead of Osun State primary Election and also subsequent elections.

Conclusively, BFK noted that Oyebamiji remains the best aspirant as the credible unifier for the APC, reiterating that he holds the ace to lead the Party back to Bola-Ige House
