Ambassador Stephen Adeayo Tella, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Spain Chapter, Secretary General of APC Chairmen in the Diaspora, and President of the Diaspora Concerned Loyalists (DCL), has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora on the occasion of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration.
In his message commemorating this historic milestone, Amb. Tella praised the resilience, unity, and unwavering spirit of the Nigerian people, who, despite various challenges over the years, have continued to strive towards a stronger and more prosperous nation.
> "October 1st is not just a date—it is a symbol of our collective freedom, strength, and the enduring spirit of Nigeria. As we mark 65 years of nationhood, I congratulate all Nigerians, both within our borders and across the diaspora, for their unwavering commitment to national development and unity," Amb. Tella stated.
He further urged Nigerians to use this occasion to reflect on the sacrifices of the nation's founding fathers and to recommit themselves to the ideals of peace, national unity, and progressive governance.
Highlighting the importance of unity in diversity, Amb. Tella called on citizens to embrace peaceful co-existence regardless of ethnic, religious, or political differences, and to support the current administration’s agenda.
> "We must all rise above our differences and stand as one people to build the Nigeria of our dreams. I particularly urge every Nigerian to lend their support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which is designed to restore our nation’s dignity, improve governance, and create inclusive opportunities for all," he said.
Amb. Tella emphasized the vital role of Nigerians in the diaspora in contributing to the socio-economic development of the country, noting that the diaspora community remains a strategic partner in driving foreign investments, promoting innovation, and advancing democratic values.
As the nation celebrates its independence, Amb. Tella reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with all stakeholders—both in Nigeria and abroad—to ensure that the aspirations of Nigerians are met, and the vision of a better Nigeria is realized.
He concluded by praying for continued peace, progress, and prosperity for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
