As we joyfully commemorate the 2025 Maolid Nabbiy, I extend my heartfelt greetings to Muslims in Osun State, Nigeria, and across the globe on this sacred occasion of the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
This blessed moment invites us to reflect on the Prophet’s exemplary life and to embody his timeless teachings, as guided by the holy Quran and Hadith.
The Prophet exemplified compassion, humility, justice, and faith in righteous leadership. Remember, that the holy book urges us to obey those in authority among us and stress the importance of supporting leaders who strive for the common good.
The Prophet (PBUH) also taught us, as narrated in the Hadith- Sahih Muslim that “The best of your rulers are those whom you love and who love you, who pray for you and you pray for them.” These teachings call us to foster unity, show kindness to all, and uphold love in our actions.
In this spirit, I urge fellow Nigerians to emulate the Prophet’s example by placing faith in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His leadership in steering Nigeria towards economic stability, infrastructural development, and national unity. By supporting his vision with patience and cooperation, as the Prophet (PBUH) encouraged through his example of trust in just governance, we can propel Nigeria to the desired heights of prosperity and security.
May I therefore enjoin the good people of Osun to take full advantage of the ongoing INEC voters’ registration exercise. Participating in this civic duty reflects the Prophet’s teaching to contribute to the welfare of our community, as he said, “The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others” (Al-Tabarani).
Let us endeavor to register for voters’ card, empower ourselves to shape Osun’s future and the nation at large. I therefore urge you to lend your unwavering support to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the only party with the vision and commitment to transform Osun State and Nigeria. Together, under the APC’s leadership, we can build a united, prosperous, and thriving society.
