Stolen Vehicle Recovered As Police Capture Three Notorious Robber


According to a report by the Punch on Wednesday, September 10,2025,the Kano State Police Command arrested three men suspected of carrying out an armed robbery in Abuja and recovered a stolen car.

The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna, announced in a statement on Wednesday that the suspects were caught on September 6, 2025, after a joint surveillance operation with local vigilantes, following the order of the Commissioner of Police.
The suspects are:Ismail Imran, 20,Abdulaziz Yahaya, 31,Musa Ibrahim Isah, 29 as all of them are from Rigasa Quarters, Kaduna State.
During the operation, the police recovered a blue 2014 Toyota Corolla S with registration number KWL-78 DN and a broken windscreen. Investigations showed the car was stolen during an armed robbery on September 5, 2025, around 2:00 a.m., at Durumi, Abuja.

The car’s owner confirmed that his family was attacked, one member was badly injured, and the suspects drove off with the car.
In the meantime,the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, praised the officers for their quick and professional work, saying that the arrest shows how important community policing is, as directed by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
The suspects are now assisting with further investigations as the police urged the public to stay alert and report suspicious activities, assuring them of safety and protection across the state.
Earlier, on September 1, 2025, newsmen reported that Kano police arrested 107 suspects for crimes such as robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, thuggery, and vehicle theft during August.
Commissioner Bakori explained that among them were eight armed robbers, eight kidnappers, three human traffickers, and 14 suspected drug dealers.
