The Super Falcons’ Nigerian football player Alice Ogebe has reve@led a very pa!nful story from 2018, when she was k!dn@pped while travelling from Abuja to Port Harcourt.
She told IDOMA TV that the encounter was both sh0ck!ng and unf0rgettable. “What should have been a typical trip became a n!ghtmare. I was abdvcted while travelling, and that experience has remained with me,” Ogebe recalled. She clarified that the event took place just after she returned from Sevilla, at a time when her old team was urging her to return. She was rele@sed without being pa!d a rans0m.
Since she frequently attended services at Dunamis Church, Ogebe saw that her spir!tual obligations played a significant role in her daily routine in Abuja. Before leaving on the journey, she had taken part in a heal!ng service on the day of the kidn@pping. Problems st@rted when their dr!ver, who had already been pa!d, abr¥tly st0pped in Imo State and refvsed to go on. Their gang was att@cked shortly after. I initially believed it to be a simple heist, but they sn@tched our phones and led us into the bush. She remarked, “We were detained for three days.” She saw another inmate being r@ped during the event. “They wanted to r@pe me too, but I was on my period at the time,” she said, describing how she barely escaped s€×ual ass@ult herself.
