Following the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) in the just concluded governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State, the revered traditional rulers - Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Falabi Lambeloye III and Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Adenekan Afolabi on Friday assured massive mobilization and bloc votes for Oyebamiji in the forthcoming 2026 gubernatorial election.
The revered monarchs in their separate remarks showered encomiums on Oyebamiji for his credible and outstanding performance in the past positions held, saying 'he remains a good ambassador of Osun and Nigeria'
This is just as residents of Ikire, Apomu, Ikoyi and their environs took to major streets to receive Oyebamiji in celebration of his victory at the party's governorship election.
Oyebamiji, his wife, Dr. Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji, APC leaders and members were warmly received with fanfare by the residents of the ancient towns who thronged out in large numbers to give a rousing welcome to their "golden" son.
Speaking in his palace, Oba Olatunde Falake expressed profound gratitude to God and leadership of the APC for the confidence reposed in his chief, Oyebamiji, who is the Asiwaju of Ikire, to fly the party flag in the forthcoming governorship election.
Oba Falabi, who expressed fulfillment and satisfaction in the choice of Oyebamiji, said his emergence at the primary was a clear testimony to his rare virtues of loyalty, honesty, humility, steadfastness, consistency, proven trackrecords and immense contributions to growth and development of the state in particular and Nigeria in general.
"Honestly, today is my happiest day, receiving my son and his entourage formally after his emergence in the APC governorship election primary. Your emergence is a testimony of our prayers for Ikire town to produce a Governor in the state. We are committed and resolute to ensure your victory at the poll. I can assure you and your party, APC, of bloc votes from Irewole federal constituency. Our people will vote massively for you and your party.
"I must commend the leadership of your party for the confidence reposed in you. This is a testament to your impeccable trackrecords. With the enthusiasms in the people over your emergence, you are coasting to victory. I pray God Almighty to lead you through victory come August 8th, 2026", the monarch added.
In the same vein, Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Adenekan Afolabi warmly received Oyebamiji and his entourage just as he assured massive mobilization, turnout and popular votes for APC in the forthcoming governorship election.
Oba Afolabi showered royal blessings on Oyebamiji and prayed God to grant all his heart desires.
"We are very elated that governorship seat is coming to our domain gradually by the emergence of our illustrious son, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming governorship election. This is a great joy for us. We are determined to earn a resounding victory. We are resolute to ensure the emergence of Oyebamiji at the gubernatorial poll. Our subjects will mobilize and vote massively for Oyebamiji. We are sure of victory by God's grace", the monarch added.
In his short remarks, Oyebamiji appreciated the traditional rulers and the people of Osun in general and Irewole, Isokan and Ayedaade in Irewole Federal Constituency in particular for their unflinching support and avowed dedication to ensure his emergence.
Oyebamiji promised to take Osun to enviable heights if elected Governor come 2026.
He presented his certificate of return to the traditional rulers as a sign of honour and support received from royalty.
Earlier, the residents of the town had taken to major streets to receive Oyebamiji as they sang solidarity songs.
The massive turnout and warm receptions underscored the existing strong bond and connection between Oyebamiji and his hometown, reaffirming his position as a unifying figure and a leader of popular choice.
