The Centre for Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah of Nigeria, founded by renowned Islamic scholar and educationist, Sheikh Dr. Faadhil Abiola Nurudeen Al-Imam, has successfully graduated 115 students under its Future Scholars Preparatory Programme. The 8th Graduation Ceremony was held on Sunday, 14th December 2025, at Al-Madinah Academy, opposite MOPOL Barracks, beside Paris Estate, along the Osogbo–Ikirun Expressway, Osun State.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Director of the Institute, Sheikh Dr. Faadhil Abiola Nurudeen Al-Imam, expressed profound appreciation to the dignitaries and guests who graced the occasion to celebrate with the graduates drawn from Nigeria and other African countries, including The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, Cameroon, among others. He disclosed that the graduates emerged after a rigorous selection and examination process, followed by one year of intensive training in Arabic studies and vocational skills.
Dr. Faadhil further announced that the ten best-performing students would be sponsored with international passports and given opportunities to travel abroad, a move aimed at motivating academic excellence and encouraging future participants. He reaffirmed the Centre’s unwavering commitment to the promotion of Islam as a religion of peace, knowledge, and moral excellence.
In his goodwill message, the Asiwaju of Osogboland, Retired Justice Moshud Adekunle Adeigbe on behalf of the Ataoja of Osogboland His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, commended Dr. Faadhil for his dedication to Islamic propagation and his philanthropic contributions to society. He urged the founder not to relent, assuring him that his efforts would be richly rewarded by Allah.
The Governor of Osun State, represented by the Special Adviser on Community and Rural Development, Hon. Emiloju, applauded the initiative of the Centre in promoting Islam through peaceful means. He also praised the vocational empowerment given to graduates, describing it as a significant contribution to poverty eradication and economic development within the society. He conveyed the Governor’s happiness with the institute’s achievements and reaffirmed the state government’s readiness to support credible educational and empowerment initiatives.
As part of the programme, the Director of the Institute presented prayer mats, copies of the Holy Qur’an, and other gift items to dignitaries in appreciation of their presence and support.
Prominent dignitaries at the event included Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, the Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Osogbo, and the representative of the Ataoja of Osogbo in all markets, who led other Babalojas and Iyalojas to the occasion. The ceremony also witnessed the presence of respected Islamic clerics, academics, and university dons, adding prestige to the landmark event.
The graduation ceremony marked another milestone in the Centre’s mission to nurture knowledgeable, self-reliant, and morally upright scholars who will positively impact their communities across Nigeria and beyond.
