NGA Vs TUN: How Nigeria Could Line Up Against Tunisia

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will try to bag three points to go top of the Group C table when they face Tunisia in their next AFCON Group stage match. There were a few lapses in the team's defense in their previous outing, and Eric Chelle is expected to tighten the backline and forge a formidable starting lineup that could overpower the Tunisians on match day. Below is how Nigeria could line up for the fixture.

Formation: 4-3-2-1
Goalkeeper: Nwabali

Defenders: Sanusi, Bassey, Ajayi, Osayi-Samuel
Midfielders: Iwobi, Ndidi, Onyeka
Attackers: Ademola, Lookman
Strikers: Osimhen, Akor Adams

Nwabali, even though he conceded cheaply against Tanzania, could still be the Super Eagles' goalkeeper for the Tunisia match. In the backline, Chelle could still start Zaidu Sanusi at left-back and Bright Osayi-Samuel at right-back. The combination of Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi was solid against Tanzania and could be deployed against Tunisia.
In the midfield, Alex Iwobi, who provided two assists previously, could play on the right, and Frank Onyeka, who was a substitute, is likely to start on the left ahead of Samuel Chukwueze. Wilfred Ndidi, the team's engine room, is expected to continue in central midfield.

Eric Chelle made Ademola Lookman the link between the midfield and the attacking line, and the player is likely to occupy the same position when the team plays Tunisia.
Victor Osimhen, even though he failed to score in the last match, is anticipated to be the team's number 9 on match day, and he is likely to be supported by Akor Adams.
