A prominent Community leader Hon. Najeem Oyewumi, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji on his emergence as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
In a congratulatory message issued after the conclusion of the party’s primary election, Hon. Oyewumi described Asiwaju Oyebamiji as “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that his victory reflects the confidence of party members in his capacity, experience, and leadership qualities to steer Osun State toward greater development.
Hon. Oyewumi commended the leadership of the APC in Osun State for their unity, maturity, and collective resolve in rallying support around Asiwaju Oyebamiji, which he said strengthened the party’s internal cohesion and democratic process. He further applauded the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for their roles in fostering peace, fairness, and stability among all contenders before and during the primary election.
He also praised the other aspirants who participated in the primary for demonstrating sportsmanship and party loyalty by supporting the emergence of Asiwaju Oyebamiji, describing their actions as a show of commitment to the progress and unity of the APC.

Prior to the adoption of ASIWAJU MUNIRUDEEN BOLA OYEBANJI(AMBO) as the flag bearers of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, the political cloud of the progressive family in Osun state was tensed and the degree of uncertainty was clearly obvious to the blind to see.
Not many state in the federation has ever assembled such formidable personalities with high pedigree at once in a political party. From academicians, technocrats, successful businessmen, legal luminary, and seasoned politicians. Their credential, status and achievement are extremely intimidating as their personality. This is the reason many believed there will be a political Armageddon in the progressive political family.
What many perceived to be a battle of the titans was however made simple by the wisdom of Solomon as applied by the APC elders because the progressive leaders unlike others know how best to manage their home.
Extreme demonstration of political maturity and great act of political sportsmanship as evidently displayed by all the political gladiators who signified their intentions to contest the primary in the Osun Progressive camp is a testimony that the toughest battle can be won without a bullet but roundtable discussion.
In this Osun state APC new dawn is a huge lesson for others.
To our amiable, gentle, project focus, lover of peace and God-fearing incoming governor, ASIWAJU MUNIRUDEEN BOLA OYEBANJI, the phrase "NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED" must now be our watchword as we progress in this journey.
The similitude of the recent political events can be defined in a sublime similar manner necessitating the phrase "NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED", genuine reconciliation and true strong political fraternity must begin without a delay. We must see everyone from wards, local government to state as major stakeholders without any discrimination. All wards and local governments AMBO champion must be flexible and accommodate everyone under one strong and solid roof of progressive. The job ahead is a collective responsibility.
It is natural and part of political campaign practice to be insulted, softly blackmailed and difficult banters would have been exchanged by close pals whom by circumstances of personal interest and preferences belongs to the other sides. Let us remember to forgive and forget. We are family.
Many of the great personalities in the other camps were once friends and colleagues, the cord of friendship must return without traces of the recent past. This writer witnessed your statement and recorded it during one of your engagements that whatever the outcome of the primary, we are one family and forever we shall remain one family.
This is the time for this promise to be executed. We never doubt your truthfulness and capacity to mend fences where and when necessary. You are a noble man of honour, high pedigree and clear conscience.
