UGA Vs NGA: Possible Nigeria Line Up Against Uganda

A report from All Nigeria Soccer states that on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Nigeria will take on Uganda in their final Group C match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, targeting a top-of-the-table finish. After showing some defensive weaknesses in their win against Tunisia, head coach Eric Chelle is anticipated to tweak his starting eleven to ensure greater defensive stability and better control of the match.

The Super Eagles are expected to adopt a 4-3-3 formation, with Stanley Nwabali retaining his position in goal despite a few mistakes in the last game. Bruno Onyemaechi and Samuel Osayi-Samuel are likely to be deployed as full-backs, while Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi should continue as the central defensive partnership.
In midfield, Wilfred Ndidi is set to sit deep and provide defensive cover, allowing Frank Onyeka to operate on the left side, where he can support both defence and attack. Alex Iwobi is expected to feature on the right of midfield, adding creativity and forward movement.
Up front, Moses Simon, who impressed after coming off the bench against Tunisia, may earn a starting role on the left wing, with Ademola Lookman on the right. Victor Osimhen, whose performance in the last match was electric, is expected to lead the line as Nigeria look to combine defensive solidity with attacking threat to secure a comfortable victory over Uganda.
