In a statement personally signed and made available to the press, Prince Oyebowale described the rare convergence of Ramadan and Lent as a profound spiritual moment—one that underscores the shared values of faith, sacrifice, love, and service to humanity embedded in both Islam and Christianity.
According to him, the simultaneous observance of these sacred periods presents a unique opportunity for sober reflection, moral rejuvenation, and a renewed commitment to godliness and nation-building.
“Ramadan and Lent are not merely religious rituals; they are deeply spiritual journeys that call for self-discipline, compassion for the less privileged, and unwavering devotion to God. The coincidence of these holy seasons reminds us of our common humanity and the need to strengthen the bonds of unity, peace, and mutual respect in our society,” he stated.
Prince Oyebowale urged adherents of both faiths to use the solemn period to offer fervent prayers for Osun State and Nigeria at large. He emphasized that at a time when the nation faces economic and social challenges, collective prayers, ethical conduct, and acts of kindness are essential to national healing and sustainable development.
He further called on residents of Osun State to remain steadfast in their civic responsibilities and unwavering in their support for the ACCORD Party and its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. Describing 2026 as a defining continuity period for the state, Prince Oyebowale encouraged eligible voters to participate actively in the democratic process.
“The year 2026 represents a continuation of purposeful governance and people-centered development in Osun State. I urge all well-meaning citizens to come out en masse on August 8 to cast their votes for sustained progress, real development, and a greater Osun under the banner of the Accord Party,” he added.
