The Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, has extended warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in Osun State and across Nigeria on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast.
In a statement released on Thursday, Dr. Omoyele described Eid-el-Fitr as a significant spiritual milestone that symbolizes sacrifice, discipline, and devotion to Almighty Allah. He commended Muslims for their steadfastness, patience, and commitment throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
The Amotekun Commander urged the faithful to uphold and reflect on the virtues cultivated during the fasting period, including self-restraint, compassion, generosity, and peaceful coexistence. He emphasized that these values should continue to guide their daily lives beyond the festive season.
While wishing Muslims a joyous celebration, Dr. Omoyele advised that the festivities be observed with moderation, responsibility, and consideration for others. He reiterated the importance of maintaining peace and order across communities in Osun State during and after the celebrations.
Dr. Omoyele also called on all residents of the state to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their environment. He encouraged citizens to promptly report any suspicious movements or security threats to the Osun Amotekun Corps or other relevant security agencies, stressing that security is a collective responsibility.
He further expressed deep appreciation to the people of Osun State for their unwavering support and cooperation with the Amotekun Corps and other security outfits. According to him, such collaboration has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of security operations and contributed to the relative peace being enjoyed in the state.
The Commander reaffirmed the commitment of the Osun Amotekun Corps to protecting lives and property, assuring residents of continued dedication to maintaining law and order across the state.
Dr. Omoyele concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
