A Bayelsa man has reunited with his biological father 35 years after he was given to another man as a child.
A family member, Ibuomozi Bigi, shared the emotional story in a Facebook post on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
According to Bigi, the man was brought back to the Bigi family on Saturday, September 19, before he was formally presented to the Mozi Dynasty in Olobiri Community the following day.
Sharing photos from the reunion, Bigi described the man as a replica of his biological father and expressed his joy over the long-awaited homecoming.
“A family’s celebration of the return of a lost son. My older brother’s son, who was given to another man 35 years ago, has been brought back to the Bigi family yesterday, being September 19, 2026—a replica of his father,” he wrote.
He added that the young man was presented to the Mozi Dynasty in Olobiri Community on September 20.
“I’m overwhelmed with joy over this particular event, and just returning from the village. Na God run this one,” Bigi wrote.
