In a statement released to the press through New Spring Media , Olamiju said the great man was born on January 19, 1955, in Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State, Air Chief Marshal Petinrin has had a illustrious career, serving as the Chief of the Air Staff from 2008 to 2010 and later as the Chief of the Defence Staff from 2010 to 2012 . His dedication and service to Nigeria have earned him numerous accolades, including the CFR honour.
Prof. Siji Olamiju, speaking further, expressed his gratitude to God for the life of Air Chief Marshal Petinrin Rtd, describing him as one of Osun State's most accomplished sons. "We appreciate the goodness of God in the life of this distinguished Stateman, who had made Osun State proud," Olamiju said.
