Iludun Community Commends Ataoja of Osogbo and Babalaje of Osogboland for Their Pivotal Support in NSCDC Office Construction Project

The Iludun Community of Osogbo has extended heartfelt appreciation to the revered Ataoja of Osogbo, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Larooye II, and the esteemed Babalaje of Osogboland, Chief Kasali Opabola, for their outstanding contributions and unwavering support towards the construction of a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) office in Iludun, Osogbo.

This commendation was made public in an official statement delivered to the press by the Baale of Iludun, Chief Afolabi Keji Yusuf. He highlighted the deep commitment of the Ataoja to the progress and security of Osogboland, describing him as a monarch who consistently demonstrates a strong passion for the holistic development of his kingdom.

According to Chief Yusuf, upon informing His Royal Majesty about the community's efforts to establish a dedicated NSCDC facility to bolster local security, the Ataoja responded with immediate action. Recognizing the importance of the initiative, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji swiftly reached out to Chief Kasali Opabola, the Babalaje of Osogboland, to mobilize support for the project.

In a gesture reflective of his community-first philosophy, Chief Kasali Opabola promptly donated generously to facilitate the purchase of building blocks, significantly accelerating construction progress. The Ataoja further pledged his continued support until the project’s full completion.

“We are sincerely grateful to Kabiyesi, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, for his proactive leadership and deep concern for our community’s development. His immediate intervention and call to action reflect the kind of visionary leadership our people are proud to follow,” said Chief Afolabi Keji Yusuf. “We also deeply appreciate Chief Kasali Opabola for his generous contribution and for always standing as a pillar of support in initiatives that enhance the safety and prosperity of Osogboland. He is indeed a man of honour and integrity.”

The NSCDC office project in Iludun is expected to serve as a critical infrastructure for enhancing security and promoting peace in the community. Local leaders believe the facility will not only deter crime but also symbolize a new era of structured civil protection in the area.

The Iludun Community calls on other well-meaning individuals and stakeholders to emulate the noble gestures of the Ataoja and the Babalaje by supporting efforts that foster sustainable development and security in Osogbo and beyond.
