Osun Amotekun Corps Commander Honored as Peace and Security Ambassador

Dr. Hon Omoyele Isaac Adekunle, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, has been recognized as a Peace and Security Ambassador for his significant contributions to peace building in Africa. 


The endorsement took place on Monday during a ceremony led by Dr. Monday Mike Ujoma, President of Eye-on Security, and his Vice, Mrs. Sandra Jonathan.


Dr. Ujoma praised Dr. Omoyele for his remarkable achievements in the Osun Amotekun Corps, noting that his leadership and innovative security strategies have made a considerable impact in a short period. 


The award aligns with their mission to enhance collaboration between security agencies and educate civilians on the importance of community involvement in security matters.


The recognition follows a Security Summit held on June 12, 2024, in Delta State, where stakeholders discussed honoring individuals excelling in the security sector.


In his acceptance speech, Dr. Omoyele expressed gratitude for the honor, attributing his success to his extensive experience in the police force, which prepared him for his role in Amotekun. 


He reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents in Osun, urging them to report any suspicious activities to the corps.
