Eid il-Kabir: Hon. Najeem Oyewumi Felicitates with Muslim Faithful, Calls for Unity and Sacrifice
As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid il-Kabir, the Akeweje Adini of Ifetedo, Hon. Najeem Oyewumi, has extended warm congratulations and heartfelt greetings to all Muslim faithful in Ifetedo, Ife South Local Government Area, and its environs.
In a statement made available to the press in Ifetedo, Hon. Oyewumi described the occasion of Eid il-Kabir as a time of reflection, spiritual renewal, and communal harmony. He noted that the festival commemorates the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), emphasizing the values of sacrifice, compassion, and gratitude.
"On this joyous occasion of Eid il-Kabir, I felicitate with all Muslim brothers and sisters in our community and beyond. This sacred celebration reminds us of the virtues of devotion, charity, and selflessness," he said.
Hon. Oyewumi further encouraged Muslims to uphold the teachings of Islam by promoting peace, unity, and understanding among people of diverse backgrounds. He called on the faithful to use the occasion not only for celebration but also for deep introspection and acts of kindness, especially towards the less privileged.
"As we slaughter rams and gather with our loved ones, let us not forget the less fortunate in our society. Eid il-Kabir is a call to embody the spirit of giving, humility, and unwavering faith in God's plans," he added.
He also prayed for continued peace, stability, and prosperity in Ifetedo, Ife South, Osun State, and Nigeria as a whole.
Hon. Najeem Oyewumi concluded his message by wishing all Muslims a peaceful and joyous Sallah celebration.
