In what has became a legacy of selfless service to humanity and humanitarian gesture left behind by a man of many parts and Philanthropist during his life time and taking over by one of his Children Ambassador Samuel FOLASHADE who sees his father's legacy as one that shouldn't be abandoned. Ambassador Samuel FOLASHADE, a Manchester UK based Professional World Table Tennis Coach and international business guru said "The amount of tears you wipe away from people's faces and not about the level of wealth you acquired". He also stressed further that sometimes we need to step in someone's shoe to check how they feel", hence the initiative of annual Late Pa Gabriel Aremu FOLASHADE Table Tennis Championship named after his Late father in his memories. This year 2025 3rd Edition of the Championship Competition is not just a sporting activities but the gardening of who is who across Nigeria and beyond. The event also cared for less privileges and also features youth Development across Nigeria and Osun State in Particular. According to the initiator Amb. Samuel FOLASHADE said "The championship is more than just a sporting event, it's a platform to nurture talent, foster friendships, and give back to the society. I am always happy working towards making a positive impact in the lives of our young athletes and the broader communities. The year 3rd Edition championship which was in collaboration with 2025 Ada week celebration in boripe Local Government in Osun State not only successful but a worldwide standard event where winners of various categories carted away millions of Naira for their efforts. The Samuel FOLASHADE Table Tennis Foundation is been handled in Nigeria by Coach Saka Suraju, former African Table Tennis Champion, Osun State Table Tennis Coach and 3 times Olympics performance player has raised many talented Nigeria children. The initiator and the organizer of the Competition reiterated the fact that the Foundation has become a vehicle through which many children in Ada, particular those in Secondary school are now being profitable engaged. Ambassador Samuel FOLASHADE is one of the several Children whom Providence has blessed the Late Pa FOLASHADE Aremu with. He has always been committed to the development of a total man from his youth like his late Father. Barely a year he left Asecogramms Ada, Osun State in 1985, he donated sporting kits to his Alma mater. His passion for the game of Table Tennis brought about what is today known as "Samuel FOLASHADE Table Tennis Foundation.
Late Pa Gabriel FOLASHADE Aremu a.k.a Aremu Alaafin Ada was the first Ada man resides in Gold Coast (Ghana). Baba hailed from Ile Alade, in Ada. It was through him several able bodied young men of his time were able to travel to the Gold Coast and earned a living. History confirmed that it was in his compound the first generating set was ever used in the whole of the old Osun Division. Baba was then the household name throughout what is now known as the Osun Central Senatorial district, Erin-ile and Offa Kwara State. Baba Aremu Alaafin Ada was the first man that brought Electricity to Osogbo and Adaland.
