In the spirit of giving back to society, Alhaja Olaide Adewumi (Omo JJ), on Monday, distributed food and gift items to residents of Ila Orangun, Osun State, to mark the Christmas and New Year celebrations in honour of the Osun State APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
The outreach, which took place across Ila, saw the distribution of chickens, bags of rice, and bags of semovita to market women and party leaders within the local government area.
In addition, Adewumi distributed large parasols to market women, with a promise of future financial support for traders in the ancient town.
The gesture was witnessed by a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Ila Local Government, Hon. Lateef Jaye-Ola (BisiJay), who commended Adewumi for what he described as a rare and commendable act of generosity.
He noted that the initiative would reawaken and motivate the people, reinforce the image of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a people-oriented party, and reaffirm the commitment of the people of Ila ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.
