Four convicts in an Edo State kidnapping case—Marvellous Isaac, Wisdom Michael, Rufus Emete Michael and Gift Raphael—were led away from the courtroom after judgment.
The four men were convicted following their trial on charges bordering on kidnapping, conspiracy, armed robbery, cultism and unlawful possession of firearms.
The convicts were escorted from the court premises after the judgment as proceedings in the case came to an end.
The case formed part of efforts by the authorities to prosecute individuals accused of involvement in kidnapping and other violent crimes in Edo State.
The charges against the defendants covered multiple alleged offences, including kidnapping and conspiracy, as well as armed robbery, cult-related activities and the unlawful possession of firearms.
Following the court’s decision, the four convicts were taken away from the courtroom under escort.
