Citizens from Imo State resident in federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, under the aegis of Forum of Imo Democrats (FIMD) have resolved to work collectively towards entrenching true democratic leaderships in Imo north senatorial district and imo state as a whole.
The Imo citizens in Abuja, drawn from the academia, media, different political parties, religious body, traditional institution and private sector-driven business world, threw full weights behind the Candidate of the Action Democratic Party ( ADP) for Imo north senatorial district in the forthcoming elections, Attorney Charles Onyirimba.
A statement issued at the end of their enlarged meeting held on 24th September, 2026 in Abuja, the Imo citizens residenting in FCT, described the entry of the Attorney Charles Onyirimba into the national assembly race as the beginning of a new chapter of the purposeful leadership in Imo north senatorial district.
While lauding Attorney Charles Onyirimba's commitment to the progress of Imo state and as well, his passion for good governance, the Imo indigenes believed that Attorney Charles Onyirimba has the needed capacity and wherewithal to drive development to the rural communities in Imo north senatorial district when elected as member of the national assembly.
The Imo citizens in FCT confided that Attorney Charles Onyirimba will initiate bills and make impactful laws that will strengthen all relevant institutions of democratic governance in Nigeria ,when elected as a member of the red chamber of the national assembly come 2027.
"The widespread grassroots popularity and acceptability being enjoyed by Attorney Charles Onyirimba would secure victory for the ADP in six (6) local government areas that constituted imo north senatorial zone in the forthcoming elections in Imo state
"Also having shown enormous capacity and has a track record of excellence as erudite lawyer and statesman, there are no doubts that Attorney Charles Onyirimba would provide efficient, effective and responsive representations that would place Imo north senatorial district in highest pedestal of socio-economic and infrastructural development when supported to emerge as winner of the forthcoming main elections in 2027".
The Imo citizens pledged to rally support and bulk votes to ensure landslide victory and emergence of Attorney Charles Onyirimba as Senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria in the upcoming 2027 elections across the Nigeria federation.
"We want to also seize this very opportunity to urge every eligible citizen of Imo state to make use of their permanent voters card (PVC) wisely and ensure capable individuals are elected to mount the leadership saddle in various levels,"They maintained.
