Hon. Ogundipe set to empower 1000 youths in Ife South State Constituency.


It is no longer a news, as everything is in top gear to empower 1000 youth in Ife South State Constituency through means of vocational development by De-Ben Initiatives.


The project is to give intensive vocational training to interested candidates on different field of vocation, so as to create more self employments in the constituency.


While speaking to our correspondencts, Hon. Benjamin Ogundipe, the convener of De-Ben Initiatives who also doubled as the member, representating Ife South State Constituency at the Osun Sate House of Assembly explained that, the sole aim of the project is to seeing into how 1000 youths of his constituency can be engaged through vocational education. 


He, Ogundipe narrated that, he is not the only one organising this, that the frontiers of the project are Hon. Mufutau Adegbite, Chairman, Ife South Local Government, Hon. Yunusa Adebisi, Chairman, Ife South-West L.C.D.A, Hon Folorunsho Bamisaiyemi, Osun Commissioner For Education and host of other APC stalwarts across the Ife South State Constituency and that, the application is not limited to a political party members as it was extended to all political parties and other remembers of the state constituency and, that the transparency of the handlers of the application forms is quite a welcome one.  


Hon. Ogundipe said further that, the vocational training will last for months in order to be able to achieve the goal of the project. He said, the project is expected to bring fortune to the Ife South State  Constituency and advised all applicants to be so much serious during their studies as the facilitator, World Institute for Peace is ready to give them the best training sessions.


Hon. Ogundipe laid emphasis that the project is also to support the giant strides of Gov. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola in finding the lasting solutions to unemployment among youth as the empowerment program will create more job opportunities through vocational education.


Meanwhile, Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, the Executive Chairman of the facilitating Institute affirms that, all hands are on desk to making sure that the project come reality, as vocational education  is part of  peace and nation building.


Lastly, Lamina,  the chairman of the facilitating Institute advised the interested candidates to be more serious and be focused of their learning during the training sessions as there would be tests for every session before certification.

  1. Well-done sir. This is part of what we need in our society and in the state at large. If i may ask, what are the vocational trainings that will be available because they were not included in the speech. This will help to know skills that are available to be learnt.
    Also it will be good if there can be some twenty first century skills that will be available for the youth to learn.

    I believe this program will yield a good results and change many youth lifes.
