In a significant move to support maternal welfare and infant care, essential supplies (Pampers) were distributed today to beneficiaries of the CemOnc program at the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Hospital, Ile-Ife.
This outreach is a direct support initiative from Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the Osun State APC Gubernatorial Candidate for the 2026 election, aimed at easing the transition for new mothers and their newborns.
*The CemOnc program is a specialized National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Maternal Initiative.* It is a Federal Government intervention designed specifically for:
*Target Group:* Vulnerable expectant mothers in need of Emergency Caesarean Sections (CS).
*Financial Aid:* It covers the medical bills for those who otherwise could not afford the life-saving surgery.
*Coordination:* The program is strictly *coordinated by the NHIA* to ensure that emergency maternal care is accessible to the indigents.
While the Federal Government through the NHIA provides the clinical surgery for free, *Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO)* has stepped in to provide the necessary post-operative material support. By providing these gift items, the

*Reducing Out-of-Pocket Expenses:* Helping families manage the immediate costs of newborn care.
*Complementing Federal Efforts:* Working in synergy with the NHIA’s healthcare goals to provide a holistic care experience.
*Prioritizing Vulnerable Citizens:* Ensuring that the less privileged in Osun State feel the impact of compassionate leadership.
*Dr. Afolabi Taofeeq, the CEmONC focal person in Osun State,* reiterated that citizens can also benefit from the program at other designated hospitals. These include OAUTHC in Ile-Ife, Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesa, and the State Hospitals in both Ede and Asubiaro, Osogbo.
